Job Overview

Solar Business Development Manager is a key role within our team at CV Library. We are seeking a highly skilled sales professional to join our organisation and drive growth in the commercial solar market.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling solar PV systems to commercial clients, with a strong understanding of the industry and its trends. You will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy, building relationships with new business customers, and driving revenue growth.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a basic salary of £40k - £45k pa, car allowance, and commission. The OTE (On Target Earnings) for this role is £80k-£100k per annum.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute a well-defined sales strategy for selling the company's renewable products to new business customers across the North.
  2. Lead sales opportunities, driving the sales process from plan to close, achieving growth and hitting sales targets and revenue objectives for new business.
  3. Grow and manage a pipeline and opportunities, reporting to management on a regular basis a view of pipeline, forecasting, and actions to achieve closure.
  4. Qualify opportunities through early analysis by collecting data and detailed information from customers.
  5. Provide clients insight back to the business to help develop the company's proposition to the marketplace.

Requirements:

  1. Must have field sales experience in the commercial solar market - ideally 3 years +.
  2. Ability to identify and convert new accounts while maintaining existing relationships.
