Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Nursery Manager to lead our team at Bright Horizons Cambridge Milton Road Day Nursery and Preschool. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding care to all children in the setting, driving employee engagement and retention, and working in partnership with Recruitment and HR to ensure the nursery is fully recruited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursery team to deliver exceptional care and education to children
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance in the nursery
  • Work in partnership with Recruitment and HR to ensure the nursery is fully recruited
  • Role model and mentor the nursery team to ensure high-quality early childhood practice and experience for all children
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead at the nursery, holding overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the nursery and management of safeguarding and child protection policies
Requirements
  • Fully qualified Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Experience within an Early Years leadership role (ideally as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager or similar)
  • Experience of participating with a regulatory inspection, leading to a "Good" or "Outstanding" outcome
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues, parents, and external partners
