Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated personal assistant to provide support and enablement to an individual living with Parkinson's disease.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.

The role will involve supporting the individual to maintain their independence, engage in hobbies and interests, and access community activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care, including showering, bathing, and dressing
  • Support with meal preparation and cooking
  • Administer medication as required
  • Accompany the individual to appointments and social events
  • Provide emotional support and companionship

Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving license and own vehicle (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS check required
