We are offering a permanent, full-time position at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board to gain experience in Neuropsychology and working with neurological conditions.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Neuropsychologist to work as part of the MDT within the specialist neuro-rehabilitation unit at Llandough Hospital, covering the neuro-rehabilitation service as well as the PDOC service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver a specialised psychology service to adults with PDOC/complex brain injury and their families/carers.
  • Provide a key role in providing a specialised neuropsychology service to the Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit, including outreach to other acute hospitals across the region.
  • Utilise research skills for audit, policy, service development and research within UHB guidance.
  • Design services including complex psychological assessments, formulation and treatment on an individual and group basis.
  • Offer supervision and teaching to assistant psychologists and doctoral trainee clinical psychologists as a member of the Neuropsychology Department.

The successful candidate will be able to develop specialist skills with supervision from a Consultant Neuropsychologist and have access to a wealth of supervision within our supportive neuropsychology department.
