Hestia Housing Support is seeking a Recovery Integration Specialist to join our team.



About the Role:



We are committed to empowering individuals with mental health issues to regain independence and rebuild their lives. As a Recovery Integration Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our Rehabilitation & Recovery Service, guiding service users towards a path of empowerment and independence.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Coordinate and integrate the recovery approach in community houses and high support schemes in Wandsworth MH R&R.
  • Lead in achieving milestones as set by Commissioners for our Service Users in Wandsworth MH R&R.
  • Support people with mental health problems in their recovery journey through various methods, including providing hope and unconditional positive regard.
  • Coordinate social inclusion activities, develop the move on pathway throughout the service, and promote independent living skills.
  • Review medication support within Community Houses and work with Recovery Workers to develop a more integrated delivery model to promote independence for our Service Users.
  • Recruit, support, and coordinate volunteers to support the Wandsworth MH Rehabilitation and Recovery Service in co-producing Peer Support Groups and training sessions.
  • Co-produce a range of creative and innovative training sessions and workshops to support service users to be assertive, develop effective peer relationships, and engage in co-producing services.
  • Support service users in developing personal and life skills, aiming to attain greater independence and self-esteem, and provide emotional support necessary to do so.
  • Build positive and supportive relationships with service users to enable them to play an active and key role in developing their support and safety plans with Senior Recovery Workers.
  • Coordinate, run, and facilitate social integration activities, sport, and exercise programs within Wandsworth MH R&R.
  • Assist people in planning realistic and positive goals to discuss with their keyworkers and care coordinations and support people to develop skills and abilities to review their progress through co-producing learning and development sessions.
  • Collaborate and work effectively with other internal colleagues and external agencies, ensuring service users are referred to appropriate internal colleagues and external agencies such as housing, counseling, and advocacy.

Requirements:




  • Understanding of how trauma affects behavior and ability to use appropriate de-escalation and engagement tools.
  • Ability to work within a team or by your own initiative.
  • Ability and commitment to work through Co-Production.
  • Ability to gauge/assess others' learning styles and adapt training to ensure it is effective.
  • Good IT skills, including a working knowledge of functions in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the internet.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills and able to produce clear training guides, case notes, advocacy, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Ability to engage with a range of people and audiences.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately.
