Oxford Instruments Plc is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing world-class technical software used in academia and industry to create scientific breakthroughs.
Key Responsibilities- Work in a small scrum team to deliver a defined area of functionality targeted at the next scheduled release.
- Use our internally defined software design methodologies and tools to develop robust software components and systems.
- Provide ongoing support for existing products as well as developing new products.
- A science, engineering or software engineering qualification.
- Experience in PC-based software development using.net C#.
- Experience with tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, a source code control system, a bug or issue tracking system, and debuggers.
- Proven ability to work well as part of a team.
- An interest in learning our customers' applications and delivering software tools to meet and exceed their needs.
- Demonstrable confidence and communication skills to share technical expertise to help others.
- Attention to detail and ability to work diligently to a defined process.
- The ability to understand priorities and plan your time to deliver results that meet agreements.
- Keen to improve their software engineering skills.
