About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Gardener Volunteer to join our team at SeeAbility. As a Gardener Volunteer, you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces for the people we support.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of plants, be confident using gardening equipment, and be punctual and reliable. You will also be friendly and approachable, with a passion for gardening and helping others.
In this role, you will be responsible for weeding, pruning, and planting in the outdoor spaces. You will also have the opportunity to work on a "secret garden" with a pond, which we are hoping to rejuvenate with the help of our volunteers.
What We Offer
As a Gardener Volunteer with SeeAbility, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of the people we support. You will also have the chance to develop your gardening skills and knowledge, and to work as part of a passionate and dedicated team.
We encourage people with disabilities to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves and from wider society. If you share our values and are passionate about gardening, we would love to hear from you.
About Us
SeeAbility is a specialist charity that has pioneered support for people with learning disabilities and autism, who may also have sight loss, for over 220 years. We are committed to empowering people with disabilities to realise their goals and to challenge what they expect from life.
