**Help support Demelza families with practical tasks around the home throughout Kent.**

Practical Support volunteers provide a range of help to families with children and young people who have serious or terminal conditions.

This role may involve one or more of the below tasks:

- Supporting parents to attend community activities with their children - attending parent and child groups, going shopping with them and being an additional set of helping hands.
- Undertaking light housework such as laundry and ironing, changing beds or tidying and organising a room for them.
- Light gardening and mowing the lawn to enable access to their garden.
- Straightforward decorating or simple DIY tasks.

There are many ways that volunteers can help. If you think you have the skills and have the time to be able to make an on-going commitment then we would love to hear from you.

You do not need to have previous skills or experience as we provide in-house training to assist you in undertaking this role.

Becoming a Practical Support volunteer provides a rewarding opportunity to help our families by offering direct help in their home.

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
