We are seeking a talented Pastry Junior Sous Chef to join our renowned pastry team at a luxury hotel in Hertfordshire. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Pastry Sous Chef in leading the pastry section and contributing to the creation of innovative desserts and patisserie.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pastry Sous Chef in leading the pastry section and managing a team of pastry chefs.
- Develop and implement new pastry recipes and menus in collaboration with the Pastry Sous Chef.
- Ensure high-quality standards in all pastry production and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous pastry experience in a high-end culinary environment is essential.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain a high level of creativity and precision.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to support the Pastry Sous Chef.
- Experience in high-volume venues is preferred.
Culinary Focus:
- Specializing in modern, innovative desserts and patisserie.
- Emphasis on using fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from on-site gardens.
