About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Team Lead to join our Community Nursing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management to a team of community nurses and other staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within a defined caseload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management to a team of community nurses and other staff
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care within a defined caseload
  • Develop and maintain standards of care and deploy, coordinate, and supervise the nursing team as required
  • Participate in the long-term management of patients within the locality
  • Undertake non-medical prescribing and maintain own competence in this area
  • Follow Trust procedures concerning vulnerable Adults and Children

Person Specification

  • Registered Nurse
  • Practice Supervisor/Assessor or equivalent
  • Specialist Nursing Practice (District Nursing) Degree or will undertake training
  • Nurse Prescribing or will undertake training
  • Knowledge of recent developments in NHS
  • Knowledge of Evidence-based practice
  • Evidence of personal development
  • Knowledge of NMC code of professional conduct
