Property Owners Underwriter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Property Owners Underwriter to join our team at Stride Resource Management Ltd. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for profitably underwriting Property Owners on a case-by-case basis, within appetite and underwriting criteria.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite Property Owners within company strategy and authority limits, referring all cases outside of strategy or individual limits.
  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues and brokers, identifying new opportunities within our network.
  • Attend training, review meetings, and social events as required.
  • Maintain and endeavour to exceed agreed service levels to both internal and external customers.
  • Work closely with senior underwriters and support those more junior.
  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the commercial underwriting and broking market.
Requirements:
  • Strong trading skills with experience in developing broker accounts to achieve profitable growth.
  • Underwriting knowledge, specifically with previous experience in Property Owners and/or Commercial Combined.
  • Motivated, driven, and adaptable, with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to assess and analyse data accurately and effectively.
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver common goals.
