Equipment Service Technician

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Mechanic to join our team at GAP Group LTD.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working with heavy plant machinery, including diggers, dumpers, and small hand tools. They will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
A valid driving license is preferred but not essential. The role offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including up to 25 days annual leave, a contributory pension scheme, and overtime at an enhanced rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair heavy plant machinery to a high standard.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
- Identify and report any faults or damage to equipment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a plant mechanic/fitter role with a relevant mechanical qualification or time served.
- Sound and current knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A customer-focused approach workload and committed team player.
