Spire Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Team Leader to join our team. As an Orthopaedic Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a small team and working closely with a Theatre Manager and other Team Leads to ensure the smooth operation of our operating department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Theatre Manager in leading, teaching, counseling, and appraising staff to identify and meet development needs.
  • Supervise and educate junior staff, including RGNs and ODPs, and carry out clinical supervision.
  • Contribute to the advancement of the Operating Department to promote excellence in clinical care.
  • Act as a role model, demonstrating high levels of clinical expertise, leadership, and management.
  • Prepare the operating theatre room for surgery, ensuring instrumentation, equipment, and supplies are in place.
  • Assess patients' health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner.
  • Experience of working in teams with minimal supervision.
  • Previous leadership experience is an advantage, but we offer award-winning training and CPD.
  • HCPC or NMC registration.
  • At least 2 years of ortho scrub experience.
  • Passionate and driven, with the ability to demonstrate dynamic thinking.
