About the Role

This is an outstanding leadership position that requires a visionary educator with a proven track record of inspiring students and staff alike. As the Head of English, you will be responsible for leading the department, developing and implementing an engaging curriculum, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the English department, providing guidance and support to teachers
  • Develop and implement an innovative and comprehensive English curriculum
  • Collaborate with other academic leaders to enhance cross-curricular initiatives
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and implementing strategies for improvement
  • Cultivate a cohesive and collaborative learning community
  • Ensure effective use of resources and technology within the department
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding students' academic performance

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and management skills, as well as a strong passion for English education and a commitment to academic excellence. A bachelor's degree in English or a related field and teaching certification are also essential requirements for this role.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
