We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as an Apprentice Lift Maintenance Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a full range of skills in all aspects of lift maintenance and repair.

The successful candidate will be part of our structured 42-month apprenticeship program, which includes experience rotations across our business. This will allow our apprentices to develop a full range of skills in all aspects of our business, including service and maintenance, new installations, modernization, repairs, and escalators.

As a Schindler Escalator Technician Trainee, you will learn and complete all the steps necessary to maintain and repair Schindler equipment, as well as a multitude of equipment from other manufacturers. This will include functional testing sequences to ensure optimum safety standards for our clients.

The successful candidate must be hard working, determined, and ambitious with a passion for learning and progressing their career within an innovative customer-focused company.

At the end of the apprenticeship and upon successful graduation, you'll become a fully qualified lift engineer with a NVQ Level 3 Lift Electromechanics qualification and formal qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.

Our innovative and environmentally friendly access and transit management systems make an important contribution to mobility in urban societies. In the UK, Schindler installs, repairs, maintains, and services all types of lifts, escalators, and moving walks from all types of manufacturers.

We are looking for candidates with good communication skills, at least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, and direct public transport connections to London and the London underground network. Customer service skills, information technology skills, logical thinking, good practical skills, and analytical personal qualities are also essential.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm and Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, with a total of 37 hours per week. Applicants will be required to work their 37 hours over 5 consecutive nights on occasions to complete their necessary NVQ modules.
