We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and associated needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating an inclusive learning environment, adapting curriculum content, and implementing individualized strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction that meets the needs of students with ASC and associated needs, fostering engagement and promoting independence
  • Assess pupils' progress and needs regularly, using data to inform planning and set achievable goals. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide tailored support to pupils, implementing strategies for social, emotional, and behavioral development. Encourage positive interactions and foster an inclusive classroom culture
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to each student's education and well-being
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed about best practices in supporting pupils with ASC and associated needs. Share knowledge and strategies with colleagues
  • Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment that promotes respect and learning

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with ASC and associated needs, ideally in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and tailored teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
  • Experience of teaching pupils in key stage 3 & 4 desirable
  • Experience and passion for humanities desirable
