Overseeing the execution of designated capital, infrastructure, or water network management projects, with an emphasis on safe delivery within budget, schedule, and quality standards. Directly managing and, when necessary, coordinating with others to engage a variety of stakeholders, ensuring project timelines are adhered to. Where applicable, procuring, managing, and directing a diverse range of consultancy expertise across a multidisciplinary skill set. Supervising the management of construction project design, estimation, and planning, including all relevant statutory processes, procurement management, and maintenance forecasting, collaborating closely with all departments, including asset management, asset operations, HSQE, communications, and customer operations. Being accountable for project control management, including resource allocation and service delivery requirements, ensuring consultant supervision where relevant, and approving all payment certificates. Reviewing contractor cost submissions and advising the Senior Project Manager for approval. Monitoring and reporting on forecast and project out-turn costs in alignment with the monthly PMO reporting cycle. Providing daily management of construction service providers for capital projects, ensuring compliance and adherence to standards. Overseeing project closeout activities, including commissioning and handover to operations and maintenance, along with the preparation and submission of project-specific handover documentation. Contributing to the ongoing development of new templates, documents, systems, and processes for project/program management to incorporate lessons learned and enhance efficiencies.To be successful in this role, you will need:
A degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering, along with a related project management qualification such as APM or progress towards APM accreditation. Familiarity with NEC 3 and 4 contract suites and CDM 2015 regulations. The ability to work seconded to our client in the southern region. Experience in the water sector or a regulated industry, with a minimum of 5 years in project management.
