Job Title: Residential Child Care Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Residential Child Care Worker to join our team in the Rhewl area of Oswestry. As a Residential Child Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and/or learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised care and support to young people with EBD and/or learning disabilities
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the young person, their family, and other professionals
  • Support young people to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene
  • Encourage young people to participate in social, life-long learning plans and recreational activities
  • Act as a key worker to specified individual young people, taking on responsibility for specified areas of care and support
Requirements:
  • NVQ 3 or Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with children with EBD and/or learning disabilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
