Job Title: Residential Child Care Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Child Care Worker to join our team at ProSkillz Recruitment LTD. As a Residential Child Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and/or Learning Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain boundaries and support colleagues in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Support and participate in young people's social, life-long learning plans and recreational activities in line with care/support plans, trips out, and holidays.
  • Act as a Key Worker to specified individual young people, taking on responsibility for specified areas of care and support, including ensuring all medical needs are met and supporting the young person to advocate their own needs and wishes.
  • Encourage young people to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
  • NVQ 3 or Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children with EBD and/or Learning Disabilities.
