Job Title: Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team. As a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the management team in the day-to-day running of the service, which provides care and support to young people between the ages of 12-18.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Lead by example and support the management team to run the shift
* Take greater responsibility for mentoring and supporting newer staff members
* Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives depending on their age
* Maintain a safe and homely environment for the young people
* Provide support for the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being
* Ensure the safety of the students and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the individual's care plan, guidelines, reward system, and preferred method of communication

**Requirements:**

* NVQ or QCF Level 3 / Level 4 in Children and Young People is ESSENTIAL
* 2 years experience in a residential children's home environment is ESSENTIAL
* A full Driving Licence is ESSENTIAL as you may be required to transport the children from time to time
