About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a special needs Secondary school in Hilsea. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to students with SEN, contributing to their academic and social progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with learning needs, assisting in the implementation of individualized education plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, Special Education Coordinators, and other professionals to support students effectively.
  • Foster positive relationships with students to promote their well-being and engagement.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to work with students in a one-on-one setting and in small groups who have learning difficulties.
  • Capability to arrange educational activities based on student proficiency with assistance from a teacher.
  • Development of social skills and assistance with individual needs.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
