Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Hawk 3 Talent Solutions. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and conduct employee relations meetings, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Manage employee performance, recognizing good performance and addressing poor performance.
  • Delegate workload, manage breaks, and supervise daily operational needs.
  • Manage attendance and absence, including cover and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with direct reports and ensure information is consistent, accurate, and timely.
  • Ensure team members are trained and compliant with HSE processes and procedures.
  • Plan and support recruitment, selection, and induction needs.
  • Deliver individual training plans and manage resources to achieve production goals.
  • Carry out regular employee appraisals and support growth and development needs.
  • Actively support and promote personal development through coaching and mentoring.
Requirements
  • Leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • People management skills.
  • Engineering or manufacturing background desirable.
  • Previous experience of managing capital engineering projects.
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
  • IOSH Managing Safety Qualification.
  • CMI/ILM Level 3 or equivalent leadership qualification.
  • First Aid.
  • Risk Assessment, COSHH, and Permit To Work.
  • Fire Marshall.
  • Lean Sigma White Belt.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and computer literacy.
  • Strong communication skills.
