About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumber Multi Trader to join our team at BD Group, a facilities services company dedicated to delivering high-quality services to public and private sector clients. As a Plumber Multi Trader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services, working on a variety of commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance, including fixing leaks, unblocking drains, and repairing/replacing fixtures.
  • General Repairs and Maintenance: Prepare walls and ceilings for plastering, painting, and decorating, including patch repair, plastering, tiling, and silicone work.
  • System Installation: Install new plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
  • Task Execution: Handle tasks such as framing baths, repairing/installing bath panels, repairing floor joists, and fixing kitchen cupboards.
  • Inspections and Reporting: Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues, maintaining accurate records of all repairs, installations, and inspections.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency call-outs, minimizing disruption to tenants.
  • Client Satisfaction: Ensure client satisfaction through clear communication and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A minimum qualification (such as City & Guilds or NVQ) in Plumbing.
  • Skills and Experience: Proficient in plumbing and skilled in at least one other trade, with experience in a repairs environment, preferably in social housing.
  • Health and Safety: Excellent understanding of Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communications skills, ability to build positive working relationships with a range of clients, contractors, and employees.
  • Initiative and Adaptability: Capability of taking initiative and working independently, with personal resilience and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.
Working Arrangements
  • Working Pattern: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Location: Barking & Dagenham.
