About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Calderdale Learning Disability Community Health Team. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality assessments and interventions to adults with learning disabilities in the Calderdale locality.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate and values-led care. You will have the opportunity to work with clients, carers, and families to promote person-focused, trauma-informed, and effective ways of working across systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist clinical psychology services to clients with learning disabilities
  • Conduct assessments and interventions in a variety of settings, including outpatient, community, and inpatient settings
  • Work collaboratively with non-psychologist colleagues and other professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Supervise and support Psychology Assistants, Trainees, and Band 7 HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologists
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to clinical psychology services
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
