About the Role

As an Interventions Facilitator at Serco, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality interventions to prisoners, promoting a positive learning environment, and supporting the reintegration of ex-offenders back into society.

You will be responsible for completing thorough and in-depth session debriefs, writing Post Programme Reports, and assessing prisoners to recommend relevant programmes. Additionally, you will contribute to sentence planning and parole processes as appropriate.

Key Accountabilities
  • Attend regular supervision with the Treatment Manager
  • Assess prisoners and recommend relevant programmes
  • Write Post Programme Reports for prisoners who complete and non-complete programmes
  • Attend and pass any required training
  • Complete motivational work and assessment processes with prisoners prior to commencing a programme
  • Prepare objectives and follow-up work with prisoners involved in programmes
  • Contribute to sentence planning and parole processes as appropriate
Requirements

You will need experience of facilitating group work and/or working with challenging client groups to be successful in this role. Evidence of some educational exams with reasonable results is also required.

Knowledge of psychological theory, particularly of offending, and the 'what works' literature in relation to reducing risk of reoffending would be an advantage. Additionally, knowledge of motivational techniques and responsivity and diversity issues when working with offenders is desirable.
