Island Health is seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join its team. As a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, you will perform non-invasive cardiology procedures and routine maintenance of equipment.

Job Description:

This role involves using personal computers and related software to perform database functions, including editing electrocardiograms, storage and retrieval of cardiac records, and related clerical duties.

You will work closely with the Manager or designate to prioritize and organize work, observe and assess clients/patients, operate related equipment, communicate effectively, and participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform non-invasive cardiology procedures
  • Routine maintenance of equipment
  • Database management, including editing electrocardiograms and storing cardiac records
  • Related clerical duties
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Certification by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologist (CSCT)
  • Graduate of a recognized diploma training program in Cardiology Technology
  • One year recent, related experience
  • Eligible for membership with the Cardiology Technologist Association of British Columbia (CTABC)
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLSC), Level C

A combination of education, training, and experience may also be considered.

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000-$80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
