As a Residential Care Team Leader at CareTech Group, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people who have experienced challenging circumstances. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose. You will deputise in the absence of the registered manager, support and manage staff to meet the needs of the children, and undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in Residential children's Care, including supervisory experience, and hold a Diploma 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent. You will be passionate about supporting children and young people in a holistic child-centred and trauma-informed way, and be able to work closely with external agencies to ensure safeguarding and wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose
  • Deputise in the absence of the registered manager
  • Support and manage staff to meet the needs of the children
  • Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate
  • Manage child protection concerns and complaints
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people

This role may include working on shift with some weekends and sleep-ins.
