Job Opportunity for Female Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Female Support Worker to join our team and support a young lady with learning disabilities based in the Holsworthy area of Devon.

The ideal candidate will have experience caring for individuals with physical and/or learning disabilities and be able to provide support with daily activities, personal care, and mobility needs. The client enjoys social activities such as bowling, visiting her boyfriend, and going out for meals, and the successful candidate will be able to support her in these areas.

The role involves working 16 hours per week over two days, with the possibility of increasing to 16 hours as rapport is built. The hourly rate is £12.50, and travel time is paid up to 1 hour.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. You will also need to be a driver with a full UK driving licence and be confident to drive the client's car.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the client with daily activities, personal care, and mobility needs
  • Accompany the client on social activities such as bowling, visiting her boyfriend, and going out for meals
  • Provide support with travel, including driving the client's car
  • Work collaboratively with the client's family and other professionals involved in her care

Requirements:

  • Experience caring for individuals with physical and/or learning disabilities
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence and confidence to drive the client's car
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
