About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Maternity Health Care Support Worker to join our team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to women and babies using our services.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Assist midwives, neonatal nurses, and other healthcare professionals in providing safe and effective care to women and babies.
  2. Provide support to women and babies in all areas of the maternity and neonatal services, including personal care, mobility, and nutrition.
  3. Assist with the delivery of parenting education, including baby care and safety, and breastfeeding support.
  4. Accompany and sustain safe transfer of women and babies between wards and departments.
  5. Under the direction of a midwife or nurse, carry out clinical observations on women and babies.
Requirements
  • Maths and English GCSE
  • Health and Social Care experience
