About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Maternity Health Care Support Worker to join our team at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to women and babies using our maternity and neonatal services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist midwives, neonatal nurses, and other healthcare professionals in providing safe and effective care to women and babies.
  • Provide support to women and babies in all areas of the maternity and neonatal services, including personal care, mobility, and nutrition.
  • Assist with the delivery of parenting education, including baby care and safety, and breastfeeding support.
  • Accompany and sustain safe transfer of women and babies between wards and departments.
  • Under the direction of a midwife or nurse, carry out clinical observations on women and babies.
Requirements
  • Maths and English GCSE
  • Health and Social Care experience
