Job Description

A leading retail and wholesale business is seeking a highly experienced Head of HR to drive business outcomes through effective HR practices.

Salary for this role is £55,000 - £70,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a strategic staff resourcing strategy to meet business objectives.
  2. Design and deliver a comprehensive learning and development program for all levels of the organization.
  3. Implement an enhanced induction process, including linguistic appraisal and upskilling.
  4. Ensure the effective management and control of HR operational processes, systems, and data maintenance.
  5. Provide specialist guidance on employment legislation and ensure business compliance.
  6. Manage and resolve Employee Relations issues effectively.
  7. Oversee employee welfare and mental health initiatives, including absence and health issues.
  8. Conduct annual Employee Surveys and develop an Employee Engagement Plan.
  9. Provide data and reports as required.
  10. Manage all disciplines, grievances, and capability issues in line with legislative requirements.
  11. Communicate regularly with the Head of HR on key issues.
  12. Participate in Group HR projects, programs, and initiatives.
  13. Attend site meetings as required.
  14. Promote and support diversity initiatives.
  15. Collaborate with the site management team on site-based initiatives.
  16. Address and resolve payroll issues promptly.
  17. Lead and develop the HR team.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a HR Leader.
  2. CIPD Level 5+.
  3. Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in retail or FMCG.
  4. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  5. Proactive problem-solving skills, exceptional communication skills, and attention to detail.
  6. Strong management experience.
