**Job Title:** Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Velocity Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a challenging role in facilities management.

**About the Role:

  • As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for completing all planned and reactive maintenance tasks for the GE Vernova contract, located in Stafford.
  • You will ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all buildings, plant, and production equipment.

**Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in on-call rotas.
  2. Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical equipment.
  3. Issue and ensure appropriate controls within Permit to Work systems and LOTO.
  4. Ensure Method Statements and Risk Assessments are adhered to for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
  5. Support Manager and Supervisor to ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes.
  6. Update logbooks, shift handovers, and client reporting regularly and accurately.
  7. Identify and report potential hazards.

**Requirements:

  • Educational qualifications in electrical fields from a recognised institution (NVQ/C&Gs).
  • Experience in multi-skilled disciplines (mechanical, fabric, water hygiene, painting, and carpentry) is desirable.
  • Comprehensive electrical experience undertaking reactive and planned preventative maintenance.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work to own initiative and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

**Salary:** £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
