We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls and Automation Engineer to join our team at Staffbase Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing plc programming and machine installation and commissioning support for our client, an established manufacturer of automated machinery.

The ideal candidate will have excellent PLC programming skills, with experience working with Beckhoff controls being advantageous. You will also have good knowledge and understanding of robotic machinery, with experience with KUKA controls being beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming and integration of plc control systems for robotic machinery
  • Upgrade and modify existing control systems in accordance with specification
  • Assist with on-site installations and commissioning
  • Provide remote and onsite technical support for customers and field engineers
  • Undertake project work as and when required

Requirements:

  • At least two years experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge and understanding of automated packaging and robotic machinery
  • Recognised electrical engineering qualification (e.g. HNC / HND)
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home on a frequent basis
