Job Title: Plating Team Leader

A&P Tyne is seeking a skilled Plating Team Leader to oversee and coordinate the work of experienced Platers in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a team of welders to achieve project goals, prioritizing and scheduling tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Coordinate team activities to complete daily and weekly targets, guiding and supporting team members to foster a positive and efficient workplace.
  • Log activities, including project details, timings, and quality control reports to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities for skill development, ensuring team members receive necessary support and resources.
  • Address equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Requirements:
  • Supervisory/leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Time Plater/Fabricator with in-depth knowledge of trade processes, techniques, and equipment.
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to ensure high-quality work and efficient operations.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols in a fabrication environment.
