High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom Careers In Design (Recruitment) Ltd Full time

Careers In Design (Recruitment) Ltd is seeking a skilled Product Design Specialist to join their internal design team. This full-time role involves working closely with the client, design and production teams, requiring mainly office-based work with occasional site surveys.

The successful candidate will be responsible for project ownership, creating front-end concept drawings and renders, elevations, GA's, and production-ready drawings for workshops and CNC machines. They will also contribute to refining value engineering and new solutions to the drawing and production process.

This position requires a balance between creative and technical skills, leaning towards joinery, furniture, and woodwork, rather than pure 'Design Engineer' roles.

Key requirements include:

  • At least 3 years of experience from the furniture manufacturing sector
  • Strong drawing and technical detailing skills
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • SolidWorks expertise is essential, with AutoCAD and Adobe CS an advantage but not mandatory
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A competitive salary in the range of £36k to £42k per annum, depending on experience and ability, plus a contributory pension, quarterly bonus scheme, standard holidays, and cycle-to-work scheme, is offered.
