Your Role
As an Optical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire operation of our Opticians department. This includes managing a team of Optometrists and Optical assistants, overseeing compliance processes and procedures, reviewing sales forecasting and department targets, and dealing with customer queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of Optometrists and Optical assistants to deliver high-quality patient service.
- Oversee compliance processes and procedures to ensure the department meets regulatory requirements.
- Review sales forecasting and department targets to drive business growth.
- Deal with customer queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Coach and develop team members to improve their skills and performance.
Requirements
- Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
- On track to meet the statutory points requirement for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Confident in coaching and developing others.
- Able to provide excellent customer and patient care.
- Driven and ambitious to ensure the department meets its targets.
- Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced Optics environment.
- Organised and able to manage time effectively.
