Logistics Coordinator

Great Bear, a part of the Culina Group, provides distribution services to leading FMCG clients.

This role is an integral part of the Markham Vale transport planning function. You will be working within our Transport Management System (TMS) to plan both outbound and inbound orders for multiple customers across various Great Bear sites.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics operations and transportation management principles. A good knowledge of the UK is essential for optimizing driver hours and delivery routes.

We are seeking a skilled and organized individual who can efficiently book orders, respond to customer inquiries, and arrange collections in line with the outbound plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Booking orders in line with the delivery profile using Phone, Email, and Portal booking options
• Responding to customers with additional late orders and adding them to the plan or removing orders as requested
• Maximizing delivery efficiency by utilizing driver hours and selecting the most suitable trailers and drivers for each order
• Re-booking failed orders to support a quick turnaround

Requirements:

• Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurized environment
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
• Experience in an FMCG environment is desirable

Salary: Estimated £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
