Thorn Baker Industrial is a specialist metal stockholder client seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispatch Packing Operative to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing goods in and out, locating and moving stock, stamping billets with precision and accuracy, and operating FLT vehicles. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in order picking or using a picking system and a proven track record of long-term work experience and a solid work history.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work and has a desire for a settled career. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organizing goods in and out of the warehouse
  • Locating and moving stock to meet customer requirements
  • Stamping billets with precision and accuracy using specialized equipment
  • Operating FLT vehicles safely and efficiently
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in order picking or using a picking system
  • A proven track record of long-term work experience and a solid work history
  • A strong desire for a settled career
  • No recent job hopping
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package including:

  • A starting rate of £12.64 per hour
  • Overtime paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate on weekdays, 2 times on Saturdays, and 2 times on Bank Holidays
