About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Oncology team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our ward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate specialist care delivered to patients/clients and provide relevant advice/information to patients and relatives.
  • Administer prescribed medication, including transfusion of blood and administration of blood products.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication skills to deal with sensitive information, including distressed relatives and care of terminally ill patients.
  • Manage team and individual performance, ensuring high standards of patient-centred care.

Requirements

  • First-level registered nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • SACT trained.
  • Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice at the level of a newly qualified nurse.
  • Understanding of equality and diversity and how to apply it to self.
