Job Description: Specialist Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Support Worker to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people who have SEMH, ACEs, ASC, sensory, or communication difficulties. They will possess a trauma-informed understanding of therapeutic education and behavioral support. A solution-focused, resilient, and reflective approach is essential for this role. Strong relationship-building skills, with an emphasis on creating positive change, are also required.

The role involves providing 1:1 and small-group support to students, building trust and resilience. You will lead community-based sessions, with flexibility to travel across London as needed. Maintaining professional boundaries while fostering healthy, therapeutic relationships is crucial. Engaging with project-based learning groups, supporting varied educational needs, is also an essential part of the role.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with young people who have SEMH, ACEs, ASC, sensory, or communication difficulties.

What We Offer: A competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, travel expenses covered within working hours, plus lunch expenses when with students, and regular CPD, meetings, and resources provided on Fridays at The Boathouse Studios, Barking.
