**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Leader in Computing to join our team at the Elizabeth School of London. As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the academic and professional environment, providing leadership in the curriculum area and guiding colleagues to ensure the highest standards in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in the curriculum area, guiding and mentoring colleagues to ensure the highest standards in teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Academics or the Dean in leading initiatives for curriculum development and improvement.
  • Programme Development and Oversight:
    • Take a lead role in the development, management, and review of academic programmes within the curriculum area.
    • Assess and oversee the work of colleagues, offering guidance to enhance the quality of provision.
  • Research and Professional Development:
    • Engage in advanced research activities, contributing to the academic profile of ESL and staying at the forefront of developments in the field.
    • Actively participate in university/ESL research programs, fostering a culture of research and innovation.
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
    • Play a pivotal role in the continuous improvement of teaching and learning standards, implementing, and monitoring the self-assessment process.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement strategies.
  • External Engagement and Partnerships:
    • Strengthen links with external stakeholders, industry partners, and employers to enhance the student experience and foster collaborative initiatives.
    • Represent ESL at external forums, contributing to the institution's reputation and standing.

Requirements:

  • Advanced Qualifications and Recognition: Hold a doctoral qualification in a relevant subject area.
  • 4 years' experience in teaching at HE level in the UK.
  • Master's degree in a relevant subject area.
  • Previous lecturing experience for similar courses at the Higher Education level.
  • Proficiency in utilising Blackboard/VLEs, MS Teams, and Zoom.
  • Native speaker of English or, if not, have current IELTS 7.5 Academic Certification.
