An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and self-motivated Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to work on the Acute Medical Unit at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The unit provides first-class care for patients with various medical conditions, and you will join a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team providing high-quality expert services. Your role will involve supporting the Band 7 in managing the nursing team, including allocating staff, working with doctors to ensure patient care, and liaising with the operational team for timely transfers.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for taking charge in challenging circumstances and ensuring support is given to junior colleagues. You will also assist in ensuring appraisals, mandatory training, and competency assessments are up-to-date for all nursing staff.
