Key Responsibilities:

Binnies, an RSK Group Company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary project team.

The selected candidate will provide mechanical engineering technical capability and design expertise to develop and deliver water and water recycling TOTEX solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Lead the preparation and analysis of key mechanical options, ensuring risks and gaps are mitigated while upholding the Project Basis of Design.
  2. Design calculations to facilitate the sizing of mechanical, hydraulic, power generating, and building services equipment.
  3. Liaise with the supply chain to assess and understand the latest technologies as part of the optioneering process.
  4. Collaborate with the design team to develop 3D models and solutions.
  5. Oversee the outputs of processes, including P&IDs and Data sheets, HAZID and HAZOP studies, and mechanical input into commissioning plans.
  6. Support the team in driving excellence in Health & Safety, producing safe designs to discharge obligations according to CDM Regulations and standards.
  7. Identify and promote opportunities to meet project digital, sustainability, innovation, and people objectives.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will hold a minimum of a HND or equivalent in a mechanical engineering discipline and have extensive practical mechanical design experience in a similar environment.

You will also possess a good understanding of modular build and construction processes and procedures, as well as electrical control, instrumentation, and switchgear equipment and suppliers.

Working collaboratively and with accountability, you will take personal responsibility and showcase strong teamwork skills to assist in meeting project timelines.
