About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join our Complex Needs Service in Bedfordshire and Luton. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering evidence-based treatment to individuals with complex emotional needs associated with a diagnosis of 'personality disorder.'
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct trauma-informed psychotherapeutic assessments, risk assessments, and collaborative safety planning in a community mental health setting.
- Manage a caseload of patients with complex emotional needs and deliver Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to individuals with 'personality disorder.'
- Supervise staff and students, and provide training and consultation to other professionals and teams to support effective and efficient psychologically-informed care and treatment.
- Participate in clinical research, audit, and quality improvement projects to co-produce the development of the care pathway.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent training as an applied Practitioner Psychologist.
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Post-qualification experience of conducting trauma-informed psychotherapeutic assessments, risk assessments, and collaborative safety planning in a community mental health setting.
- Experience of delivering DBT to individuals with 'personality disorder.'
- Ability to deal with highly stressful situations arising with service users, carers, and staff.
