Commercial Initiatives Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Initiatives Lead to join our team at UK Atomic Energy Authority. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in developing and leading a new corporate procurement category team for Professional Services and ICT.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a category management approach to build a better understanding of the market and develop requirements to achieve the best solutions available from the market and achieve value.
- Manage all sourcing activities for major spend categories and assigned projects, adapting resources to meet strategic deadlines and organizational objectives.
- Foster effective communication and team commitment, building strong working relationships at both project and direct reporting levels.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to ensure best value in procurement, providing leadership and influence to support commercial engagements.
- Oversee procurement and commercial responsibilities for all projects within assigned categories, ensuring compliance with commercial requirements and regulations.
- Guide the creation, development, and implementation of commercial policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and outcomes.

- Experience at strategic procurement project and programme level acting as the lead expert for complex/critical Procurement and Commercial issues and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and implement commercial category strategy and policy.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze business needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
