Our client is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Analyst with experience in the utilities and energy sector, preferably with knowledge of Market Wide Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS). The role requires proficiency in Postman, Azure DevOps, SQL, and System Integration Testing, with a hybrid working model available.
Role Overview: As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be tasked with the development and execution of test cases and scripts according to project specifications. You will identify and monitor defects while collaborating closely with our client's Scrum teams and external technical and business partners to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
Position Details:
Job title: Quality Assurance Analyst / System Tester / Test Engineer.
Contract Duration: 6 months.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid / Remote. Candidate must be based in the UK.
Compensation: £400 - £425 per day, compliant with IR35 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in agile ceremonies as part of the Scrum team.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to comprehend tasks and provide time estimates.
- Create and execute test scripts.
- Identify and manage defects.
- Conduct System Integration Testing and Functional Testing.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in testing, including Functional Testing and System Integration Testing.
- Must possess experience in the utilities and energy sector, ideally with an understanding of Market Wide Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS).
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools is required.
- Strong capability in writing SQL queries.
- Familiarity with Postman is essential.
- Experience in System Integration Testing (SIT) is mandatory.
- Background in performance, load, and volume testing.
- Proficient in designing and executing test cases using tools such as SOAP UI, Postman, or Loadrunner.
- Experience in defect logging and management, with the ability to document and retain evidence of test execution.
- A quick learner with a solid grasp of the software development lifecycle and experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
