Connex Education is seeking an experienced Education Support Assistant to work full-time during term time at a well-established secondary school in Durham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support to teachers, working with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and ensure engagement.
- Manage student behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
- Contribute to progress monitoring and support student learning and development.
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Must be 21 or over.
- Must have UK school-based experience.
- Knowledge of child development and learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must hold a DBS on update service or be willing to apply for one.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
