Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Breast Imaging Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Breast Imaging team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients with breast imaging needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a high-quality service is maintained for patients attending for Breast Imaging.
- Demonstrate advanced and autonomous clinical practice in all aspects of breast imaging and diagnosis.
- Be professionally and legally accountable for all work undertaken.
- Take responsibility for the management of patients within your caseload and the supervision/development of junior members of the team.
- Be able to identify the need for appropriate diagnostic tests and interpret the results.
- Share knowledge and expertise with others across primary and secondary care.
- Provide clinical and strategic leadership within the multidisciplinary team.
- Monitor and lead improvements to standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, evidence-based practice, teaching and supporting professional colleagues.
- Contribute to the review and development of patient clinical pathways.
Requirements
- First degree/equivalent professional pre-registration qualification in Radiography.
- Post-graduate qualification in Mammography.
- Extensive post-registration experience within breast imaging.
- Advanced communication qualification.
- Clinical qualifications in breast image interpretation, breast interventional procedures and breast ultrasound.
Desirable
- Teaching qualification.
- Leadership qualification.
