Water Instruction Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Water Instruction Specialist to join our team at Saltash Leisure Centre. As a Swimming Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing customers' swimming skills and delivering safe, consistent lessons that give people real confidence in the water.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and patient individual to make a positive impact on people's lives. You will thrive on supporting students to achieve their potential, taking into account their nature and needs. With your expertise, you will apply effective teaching methods and practices to ensure pupils progress and develop their swimming skills.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be STA Award or Certificate level or Swim England Level 2 qualified and have a National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches. Knowledge of health, safety, and relevant legislation is essential, as is an understanding of Child Protection Policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a good and positive image of the Centre by providing a welcoming, helpful, and professional poolside service.\
  
• Ensure the safety and control of pupils within swimming lessons and enforce relevant regulations.\
  
• Actively encourage pupils to enrol on further courses and short courses.\
  
• Assist with new-enrolments and re-enrolments as required by the General Manager.\
  
• Understand and follow Safeguarding Policy and Procedure & Behaviour policy.\
  
• Record and complete relevant awards to expected standards.\
  
• Teach to the standard set within the product manual to ensure consistency.\
