**About the Business**

We are a leading soft drinks company in the South West. Growing from a small garden operation in the village of Carharrack, Cornwall, to our new large factory in Saltash, this much-loved family business has been in the hearts and minds of the Cornish people for over a hundred years.

We are an independent company which has seen a recent revival into the soft drinks market with a new brand look and additional flavours, including a premium Tonic Water made from Cornish spring water. Holding dear to the heritage of this Cornish business, we continue to produce good, honest, quality soft drinks. Our products meet the demands of many well-known Pubs, retail, fast food and other hospitality outlets and more.

Our company has various roles to keep the operations moving and at present we have permanent Manufacturing Operative role open to support our business growth.

**About the Post**

This is a full-time permanent position. We are looking for an operative to specialise in quality control, but the role will also involve all aspects of the business including the control of stock, using the first in first out (FIFO) method. Picking and packing. Customer order picking. Light lifting is requirement. Shrink wrapping. Palletising boxes. Label change. Good attention to detail. Weighing and measuring of ingredients and mixing a variety of blends. As a manufacturing operative the role entails operating production equipment to manufacturers instructions and in line with health and safety measures. Basic maintenance. The role from time to time may require the post holder to be flexible and carry out any other duties within the business. On the job training and development will be provided, however good level of existing qualifications, knowledge and experience would be an advantage. We are always open and welcome any suggestions or development within the role.

**About the Person**

We are looking for an energetic person to join an expanding team and someone who is able to make a contribution to support the production growth of the South Wests leading soft drinks supplier.

The person is able to demonstrate attention to detail in all aspect of their work and in other parts of the business.

The individual should be someone who is reliable and has the enthusiasm and determination to support the company’s daily demands and challenges as well as meeting their own goals within the role. They should be self-motivated to and be able to fulfil their key tasks and responsibilities to the highest of standard.

Someone who must be able to show willingness to display a good understanding of the company’s brand image and the range of products that will be produced.

Someone who has an excellent standard of verbal communication skills and can work as part of a team as well as on their own; and is flexible in their approach to their work and is open to change.

The person must be able demonstrate the ability to carry out instructions and procedures to meet the company’s demands and expectations.

The individual must be able to display a high level of integrity in their approach to the role and their work.

Someone who will also have an interest in their own personal development and aspire to develop and enhance their position within the company.
